Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand: How to Apply?
Managed under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand stream is designed for international workers that can meet labor market shortages across high demand jobs in Saskatchewan.
Candidates with relevant academic and employment experience in such high demand jobs in Saskatchewan – and a qualifying score in the SINP’s point assessment grid – are eligible to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) under this stream.
Candidates that meet the eligibility criteria and prerequisites – are nominated under the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand stream. Successful candidates are issued an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.
This stream uses the SINP point assessment grid to rank potential candidates against one another. Only candidates that have the most competitive profiles – are invited to submit an application under the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand.
Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand: Program Requirements
Express Entry Profile - Applying under the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand does not require candidates to create an Express Entry profile.
Connection to Province - It is not mandatory to have a connection to the province, it does however grant you additional points in the SINP point grid.
Job Offer – It is not mandatory to have a job offer from an employer in the province, it does however grant you additional points in the SINP point grid.
Language Proficiency – To qualify under the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand stream, candidates must demonstrate proof of minimum language proficiency equivalent to Canadian Benchmark Level (CLB) level 4 or higher.
Level of Education – Candidates must also meet the minimum academic credentials equivalent to at least a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma. You would need to get an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) done.
Work Experience - Candidates applying under this stream are required to have at least one year of full-time work experience at NOC level A, B, or 0 - and is not an occupation listed on the SINP Excluded Occupation List).
Investment Requirement – Candidates are required to provide sufficient proof of funds as determined by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You can demonstrate this through their own finances, or through maintaining a valid offer of employment.
Point Assessment Grid – Candidates wanting to work in high-demand jobs in Saskatchewan are required to score at least 60 points of the total 100 in the Saskatchewan Points Assessment Grid.

Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand: How to Apply
Managed under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), the Saskatchewan Occupation in-demand stream is designed for international workers that can meet labor market shortages across high demand jobs in Saskatchewan and occupation in demand in Canada. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and prerequisites can register a profile using the SINP online portal.
Once submitted, candidates are assigned a certain score and are ranked against one another using the SINP point calculator. Candidates with the highest scores are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) during one of the SINP draws.
Once having acquired an invitation, the candidate must submit a complete application to Saskatchewan within the assigned time limit. At this stage, you would be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $350 CAD.
If the Saskatchewan province approves of the application, you will be notified and issued a provincial nomination. This notification is sent to candidates on their emails used to create a profile on the SINP online portal.
Having acquired a provincial nomination, candidates are eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
